I'm loving the love for If These Sheets Were The States, I remember when it came out I was in an LDR due to having just gone uni, and that song really resonated at the time.

This album goooood

 

I know I've only listened to the full album through once, but on that first listen The Irony of Choking on a Lifesaver was probably my least favourite track of the 16 (aside from maybe So Long, and Thanks for All the Booze). Curious, from the people repping it, what they enjoy about the song. Maybe I should give it a few more listens.

 

I love the opening line, Alex's soaring melody right before the chorus. It's catchy as hell. I love the guitar pattern (I want to call it crunchy but idk if that's the right word/makes sense). I basically just think it's a lot of fun.

Why don't you like it?

Irony is probably one of my favorite tracks on DP, actually. I like that it’s one of the only mid tempo type songs on the album

Don’t care that much about the bonus tracks.

 

I'll have to give it another listen to give a more definitive answer, but on the first listen I found it really boring and the chorus is weak as hell. Only redeeming aspect was the bridge, IMO.

I actually didn't like it when I first heard it. But then I saw them live like a year later and they played it and I really liked it, and was hooked then on. Overall though I think the guitars in it are awesome and has a really catchy chorus
