Regarding the twist, I actually thought it may turn into something like this after the first few episodes but than kinda nixed that thought once the season really started going. Definitely plan to rewatch the season and pick up on new things. I was really not interested in this show from the previews but I was hooked immediately after watching the first episode, loved it so much!

 

What a twist. Honestly, bravo to this show for an incredible first season.

 

Forking sucks having to wait for more of this now. It's total bullshirt.

 

The second bit would explain Real Eleanor's "ugh you're the worst Eleanor" comment

 

tbh i feel like michael's smarminess kinda sold it in the beginning. i wrote it off and loved it as him just being quirky and weird, but it makes total sense now.

 

I love that I get to do a rewatch with a fresh perspective now. In the pilot, Michael specifically says to Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jianyu when they're all meeting each other, "The thought of you four amazing people living next to each other for eternity just..it brings joy to my heart" hahaa

 

In the same episode, Tahani didn't know who ariana grande was but also referenced pizza rat. I am so confused.

"Ladies and gentlemen, let's get ready to married!"

 

She was friends with Taylor and Beyonce, she's probably biased

 

First few episodes weren't laugh out loud funny, but I enjoyed them enough to keep going. On ep 4 now and loving it. Knowing the twist is actually helping my enjoyment.

 

I maintain that the cactus bit is the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life.

 

Okay, NOW it's been renewed for a second season

The end of the season felt a little off for me, but as a whole, I really enjoyed this.

So excited. I can't control my forking enthusiam. Would've been bullshirt if it had gotten cancelled.

 

Definitely have to give some props to The Good Place (and also The Last Man on Earth) for bringing to the mainstream this idea of the heavily serialized half-hour comedy. I'm really loving it, and I hope we get more in the future.

 

Did Last man get better? I couldn't handle much past a few episodes into S2?
