Really, Tahani being in the Good Place always bothered me, for those exact reasons. Should've been our clue that something was amiss.

 

Season 2 is going to be crazy.

What the fork is a Chidi?

 

That was forking fantastic

 

To be fair, "You're really in the Bad Place" probably would've been a better thing to write.

 

Now I'm excited to rewatch this before the new season to see if there are any clues that we would recognize now.

 

For starters, Michael kicking a dog into the sun now makes a lot more sense

 

I did not see that coming. It was a mindfuck but kind of also negates a lot of the really sweet moments earlier in the show, I was expecting a twist more in that realm. It definitely got me but now I like the show less?

Yeah I really did not see that coming at all, but it was fantastic. Made me want to instantly rewatch the entire show, definitely gonna buy this on DVD. I'm really curious where they're gonna go with this. I do agree that it doesn't make much sense for her to write what she did, she definitely should have written that she's in the Bad Place, or not to trust Michael, or at least write the other two's names as well as Chidi's.

Still really great. Only real improvement I would make next season is to make Jason slightly less annoying, he got to the point where he wasn't funny a lot of the time

Also now it makes sense why Schur kept saying he had to write the whole season as a story and they couldn't extend the episode count

 

Loved it. And those of you confused about what she wrote on the note - I think you're missing the bigger meaning. The reason she wrote that is because she doesn't care about if they're in a good place, a bad place or even if they ever figure out where they are on the second go-around. Her writing "Find Chidi" was her saying that she really does love him and all she cares about is finding him and being with him.

 

I was gonna say I can't remember the last time a twist really got me as much as that one did... but then I remembered that it was the Jason reveal. This show is unreal and Danson deserves all the awards for that reveal!

 

I'd been slacking on the show but I marathoned through the second half. Wow, what a finale and reveal, there's quite a bit that makes a lot more sense now in retrospect. It was such a strong first season, I don't think it's been officially renewed but I'd be gutted if this was all we got.

 

Wow. Damn, I can honestly say that I did not see that coming whatsoever. Absolutely awesome twists all around.

 

Agree with everyone, great twist, didn't see it coming, really interesting for a comedy series to end their season like that and makes next season super interesting. Danson's evil laugh was outstanding.

 

This show is written like entirely by people I know from Twitter

 

this is just a theory, so it may be total bullshirt, but I think I uncovered another level of the twist

so it's a weird coincidence that Eleanor, Jason and Chidi all died in freak accidents and Tehani also died really young right
but what if it wasn't a coincidence, it seems possible that they were murdered

also another thing when Eleanor first meets Michael he says they wipe the memories of people who died in embarrassing ways but what if that was just a lie, also possible this wasn't the first time they've uncovered the secret and had their minds erased but who knows

 

Demi is possibly my favorite person on Twitter and it's so great seeing him writing on a show

Joe Mande, Megan Amram, and Jen Statsky are fantastic too

 

Double twist, Michael is human and is being tortured in the bad place this whole time, trying to orchestrate this ridiculous torture is his torture

 

Nah, he likes it too much haha

 

Damn, that twist.

I need to rematch this series now.

 

What a great new show. Awesome first season.

 

Just watched the finale and it was unbelievable, loved everything about it so much. Can't forking wait to see what they do with season 2.
