I can't recommend either of those highly enough.

 

Brian says the album will likely be 10-11 songs. He says he written 3 songs that he's super excited about and another 9 that are 'solid' and a few that he's still working on.

Very excited for Peter Katis. Kurt Vile - Bottle It In, The National - Sleep Well Beast, High Violet, etc, etc. Can't wait to hear this!

He also pretty much said on the Local Honey to Slayer 1-10 scale of how much this album is rocking he said some songs are up there and an 8/10. He also pretty much said these songs are what he would want to hear as a Gaslight fan.

God damn! Let this thing come out in the summer.

 

Its just so so so nice to hear him sound so pumped up about the band. the dude could not stop smiling and joking at the jersey show in october, which was a stark difference to the asbury shows in 2018, those were all business.

 

Brian on that podcast said of the new record “everything sounds exciting” and taking the best of what people expect from a TGA album and doing that stuff better basically.

So that’s super exciting.

 

He's also produced multiple records by Get Up Kids, Interpol, and Gang of Youths. So yeah, I like him as the pick here.
