I hate to keep beating this drum but the fact that they used to play 26 song sets (as attached) and now we typically get 20-21 bums me out. No reason to play a 90 minute set.

Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

My guess is maybe that was a part of what burnt them out prior to their 2015 hiatus was playing longer sets. Or they’re trying to avoid Brian blowing his voice out. Either way, I agree. I wish the sets were at least 2 hours, but still, I’m glad they’re out there still killing it.

as a fan i get it but from their perspective nobody else is playing longer than 90 minutes in their position and alot of bands for less than that

I were hoping they took the Pearl Jam route and playing 2 to 2 and a half hours

Reminder that for over half a decade they were playing 0 minutes per night.

Imagine complaining about a band only playing 90 minutes lol We were spoiled by those long sets and I’m sure as they get older it’s much easier to play a few songs less. Also the last few times I’ve seen them the crowds kind of suck outside of 59 sound songs/the hits and I think they’d lose interest with anything longer than 90 minutes.

Can’t say I’ve had that experience, but I’m just happy for what I get.

blows my mind how many different things people find to complain about with this band lol

  12. Are we really complaining about the length of their sets when we thought 3 years ago they were dead and buried?

Sets are too long IMO, 5 songs and be done with it. We get it.

I did not have as much of a problem with the original mix of this album as some people, and I already loved it, but I have been playing the remixed album nonstop and this new version has that old Gaslight magic. sounds absolutely incredible.

I just listened to both versions of Little Fires back to back in my car at full volume and good god the difference is insane. Especially Brian’s vocals. CRISPY.

yeah, I already loved this album, but the new mixes have elevated it even further to masterpiece status. there are still 1 or 2 songs where I probably prefer the original mix, but this new version really unlocked the slower songs for me and they really blossomed into songs that can go toe-to-toe with the more high energy songs.

I would love to listen to the original version on vinyl with a nice setup though - I am dying to hear what that sounds like
(I mainly listen to this in my 2014 station wagon or on my phone with a Bluetooth speaker I got dirt cheap on Amazon but which allegedly has decent sound)

I've said it once or twice but holy hell do History Books and Positive Charge sound so much better with the new mix....especially Positive Charge.

for me, History Books is really the one that shows this most starkly - something about the original mix wreaks havoc on my hearing. I honestly really struggle to hear Brian Fallon in the song, and then when Bruce starts singing he just sounds so much better
