The Flash (CW) TV Show • Page 14

  1. Wouldn't this invalidate the season finales Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow just had and the one Arrow is about to have?

I mean, I'm guessing JSA will be introduced no matter what, but (probably for the better) that Supergirl finale could be written off in favor of something that brings her into the CW-verse.

    Regular

I'm guessing it doesn't totally erase the past two seasons because he will see that he fucked shit up and have to go undo it. i also don't think the speedforce will be cool with him tampering with their two new speedsters.

this also heralds the return of the Reverse Flash, because Bar' dun effed it up.

Season finale had some moments. But that was kind of a let down. Liked the season overrall.

Literally sat there and repeated, "you're so stupid Barry!" At least thirty times after the ending.

This is what's gonna change everything.. Killer Frost.. Jesse and Wally getting their powers. Bunch of shit is gonna get fuckled up.

Dialogue was awful throughout, noticeably worse than anything before.

I'm not sure I'm happy about Barry going back to save his mom. Mostly because the show already gave him that chance and explained all of the reasons not to. Also, are they going to have a season of all younger Barry? I mean, there's so many ways it can go that it kind of makes my head hurt just thinking about it hah.

Average finale. Average season. But I loved that Flashpoint ending!

    That was very exciting.

Also -- anyone else think Garrick's suit looked super cheap??

I definitely thought something looked off with the suit.

Also, the award for "most shoehorned-in villainous plot of all time" goes to Zoom and the fucking Magnatar. What an insanely idiotic twist. Just felt like they realized that they needed to raise the stakes for the finale.

Have you been keeping up on this show? I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

    Wells better be

I'll say this. That Landry storyline would have been great had he copped up to it immediately and then his arc dealt with him dealing with taking someone's life.

It looked like it was never tailored for him. They just quickly picked one out, put it on him and shot the scene. Looked terrible.

Wasn't crazy about that finale either. Better luck next season.

It also looked puffy to me in the whole torso section. Very strange.

Siiiiiiiiigh. Grant Gustin has reached Mae Whitman levels of crying on television and Candace Patton continues to be completely undervalued and underutilized. I really wish I still trusted this universe to pull off what they want to, but overall I just don't see that last scene as anything but a horrible choice.

Best line of the season: "Haven't you ever worked with a tool Ramon?" "I'm working with one right now"

  17. Pretty much what I expected from the finale. Like that the ending opens up all kinds of possibilities. Did not see that coming.

As silly as the Landry storyline was, I thought the actors involved with it turned chickenshit into chickensalad.

That was definitely the best line of the episode. Haha

Agree. I think the banter between Wells and Cisco was a good chunk of the better writing this season.

  21. I'm behind. I haven't liked this season much at all. The writing is convoluted and bad. Cisco and Barry are pulling me slowing through.

Wells and Cisco are absolutely my favorite parts of the show.

Haha, you will loath this finale. The writing is noticeably worse in this episode--at least dialogue-wise. The plotting is pretty awful too.

For me it's been Cisco, Wells, and Barry. Barry has fallen off the charts lately, though, because he's been making awful decisions at an almost Oliver Queen-like rate.

    Assume It's A Bit

"That settles it, I have to race him" HUH? What kind of mental gymnastics did Barry have to go through to come that idiotic decision? Revenge? The whole "Barry needs to avenge his father" thing felt so forced, along with 90% of the other plot events that happened to give us that Crisis on Infinite Earths-ending (shoehorning in Zoom's "destroy the multiverse" plan, time remnants etc.) The quips between Wells and Cisco have far and away carried this season, and the scene where Barry saved his mom could setup for a great season 3, I just question how Arrow, Legends, and Supergirl will handle that. They spent too long setting up Legends in the first half, and then dragged out plot lines that really shouldn't have lasted as long as they did (mainly the Man in The Iron Mask). It wasn't terrible, I still liked it more than Arrow seasons 3 and 4, but it certainly wasn't as good as the first season.

I would so gladly rewatch Arrow season 4 before I'd revisit this, ha. Maybe if Neal McDonough had been the villain on this season of The Flash, I would have liked it more.

  25. Whoa let's not get crazy. At least we got to see some cool stuff like Killer Frost and King Shark. Arrow season 4 would require a lobotomy for me to rewatch.
