In years past, Mystery Bands have all been bands playing other sets at fest. Generally a mix of more cover sets, or bigger bands just playing again at smaller venues.

 

They don't usually get revealed for awhile. When I went in 2014 I didn't know Banner Pilot was a mystery band at the Wooly until the day of.

 

My brother showed this to me. I guess a lot of people in his group of friends who go to THE FEST use it.

From what I read on the Fest website they are bands that are already on the bill just playing a more intimate set, maybe? They will be announced the day before each band goes on to allow the fans to know who it is going to be, and allow people/venues to plan accordingly for the amount of people that might show up.

 

FEST COMEDY SHOWCASE ANNOUNCEMENT!

went last year for the first time and an absolute blast(though i got a little to messed up the first night) , wish I was going this year but I promised myself that Broken World Fest would be the only concert id travel too. Super jealous of all going. Hopefully I'll make it out next year.

Set a new record for shortest wait time to pick up my Fest wristbands today, less than one single minute. I swear Pre-Fest spoils me because I remember standing in line at the Holiday Inn in Gainesville for hours a few years ago and now it's a breeze.

 

I just checked and they're sold out but said they're getting more Saturday so I'll try and grab one then.

So sorry but they sold out of the koozie again before I could get back to the Plaza and grab one for you. They were late setting up their merch and by the time I made it back to check for the 3rd time they were gone.
