Finished the last book. I really hope we get the conclusion whether it be a few movies or they take a break and do the the rest as the tv series.

 

Glad this is back. Definitely going to have to be giving us more seasons or movies at some point.

 

I haven’t read the books but I love this show. If they stick the landing, I feel it could be one of my all time favorites. Last season was so good

I just started reading the books a few days ago. I’m 3/4ths through the first book. He writes action very well. I’m impressed by how true to the book the first season is. Also, the casting of the show is superb

 

I'm sad this season is so short. Every episode has been great.

 

I haven’t read all of the books (just finished the first one) but I was worried about the current season after seeing your comment. I was worried that it would be too packed with narrative and that it would fall into the classic “telling” instead of “showing” writing pitfall.
But I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the pace of this season. I don’t know how well it’s sticking to the books (or should stick to the books) but the writers have prioritized good character interactions over jamming tons of narrative in.

 

Yeah the season had been great but I'm sad they'll leave us wanting more. They're going to finish up the storyline with the belter war. The beginning of each episodes is the strange dogs novella which leads to the final three books. So we'll get a little teaser and some kind of cliffhanger with no guarantee we will ever get anything else in screen.

The book series is incredible though and those last three books are so good.

There's no way they'd do strange dogs and show Laconia unless they were going to revisit it at some point.

 

I hope you’re right. I think it was a great ending, a good enough ending to make it one of my favorite TV shows, but of course I would love more Expanse. I’m sure after I’m done reading the books (I’m part way through book 2 right now) I’ll want them to finish up the storyline as well

 

You're in for a treat! The books are incredible. And at least once you are finished with book 6, you'll have three more of new material the show didn't cover.

Yeah I really don't understand the side story to just end it here but otherwise great ending and a wildly good show. Surprised this isn't more talked about.

 

They're significantly older in the last three books maybe they're waiting 20 years lol
