I definitely agree that there is a great album split between the 3 records, but there’s just way too much going on here and I feel the rest of their discography is much stronger. I don’t think there’s anything bad though.

 

The addition of Bill on that release is so welcomed. That solo on Scared To Lose is so buttery. Quite an inspired tone for them at that time too

 

I havent listened to the Path since it's release and hated it. I wonder if I'd feel different now almost 30 years later

 

The Path is wonderful.

 

Musically, it’s cool. Lyrics, spoken word stuff is peak corny.

 

Oh okay so they’re really doing it on this song huh!!

 

That riff at 2:10 is goddamn vintage TEN. Please don’t let this be a black sheep on the album

 

Almost gives me a “course of human life” feel - maybe one of the heavier ones off the album.

 

Definitely enjoy this single more than anything off Lilac.

Also hoping this is an indication of how the record will sound and not just a one-off.

this is cool. ace would sound great in an aggressive band.

 

Hope they just slip a bunch of songs from the path into the middle of this album for the haters

 

first 3 tracks are absolute bangers, heavy as hell, then out of nowhere the next 4 are mostly dialogue, The Path sequel we've all been waiting for, then the album ends with 3 more bangers

 

These songs are SO good. Didn't have TEN dropping a banger on my bingo card for the year but I am so here for it.

 

One thing that’s interesting.. I think this suggests they’re a 4 piece band again, and this album isn’t just Jeff and ace.

edit: lol I just realised this is straight up the first song off there re-recorded, there you go

 

i couldn’t find it on apple music because it’s marked as coming out in 2005 lol
