Baysides rollout was definitely dumb but I don’t see how it equates at all?

Half the album released over eight months since announcement sux

 

Not saying it doesn’t suck, but it’s just where the industry is at now and I doubt it’s going to change again anytime soon.

I’m not usually someone that holds off on singles, but I’ve only heard the first one they released, so I’m really excited for Friday.

 

The album wasn’t announced 8 months ago.. lmao. They put out one single and let us know that single would be on an upcoming album. Very different things.

The Early November Announce New Album

The album was announced three months ago.

 

3 or 4 songs since then plus about me, he isn't wrong about ace and co. releasing half the album already but they gotta keep up with the IG/tiktok algorithms!

 

People really either gotta learn a bit of self control (if they don’t want to hear singles) or become like the rest of the world and only listen to singles and have no idea albums even get released if it bothers you in the year of our lord 2024.

 

I purposely stopped listening to the singles because a) I had other music I wanted to spend time with b) I want to "experience" as much as possible on a full album listen.

 

I think I listened to the first 2 once or twice. Been waiting on the album since then. Almost there.

 

So is this more of an Imbue thing or a Lilac thing?

 

Yes

 

From the 5 songs released, definitely more Imbue imo. Really strong diversity of sound though. Can't wait to hear it all.

Probably right in the middle, with great production which I thought hurt lilac.

 

It’s there. I just can’t get past the vocals on it. But even if I never fully get into I have other records of theirs I adore

 

I like Ace channeling his inner Weeknd at the start of What We Earn.. so I guess that’s the Lilac adjacency, which fucking rockssssss

 

I don't buy vinyl but those are both very pretty
