I am looking forward to more addressing but tbh that felt like a non statement. It didn't really address the allegations in anything other than broad statements (imo) and basically seemed like an attempt at distancing from the problem.
That being said, I'm still gonna wait to see what they all say

 

no idea where to post this but OMG sun airway self releasing a new album soon. Been waiting so long for this. (for people who never heard him, its basically dream pop)

 

I loved that first record so much, totally forgot about them honestly

 

I listen to their first album so much still, easily one of my favourite albums from that time.

I check up on him every once and a while to see what he's up too, and for the past 4 years he's basically just been doing composing. So happy he's releasing something again under sun airway ahaha

 

what i like about both of these posts is that both explicitly said that this is a first step in addressing larger issues as opposed to the end. v cool

 

Is this due to people feeling discluded or did some actual tangible form of physical/sexual/emotional abuse take place? I don't really get it

 

tbh im not sure either anymore, which was why i was dissatisfied with the florist post, but it seems crazy that everyone would brush it off if that was the case

 

Guys I just discovered my new favorite band. It's like dream pop with huge tropical vibes. it's so so good-- wish i heard it earlier in the year because it would make my list

speaking of things that make me angry, i was reading all the comments responding to that OVLOV post about being on Million Dollar Extreme, and omg why does every one fucking suck? The amount of people that can defend white supremacy cause its "all a joke" is beyond me.

I used to be really good friends with a lot of people who worshipped Sam Hyde, but surprise surprise they all turned out to be terrible people.

 

yeah that post was horrid. It's bad on every band that made comments about it. ugh

 

jesus, that image board makes my stomach churn. it's insane how anonymity fills people up with such vitriol and fuels their intolerance to things different from them. the quotes on that first post around "artspaces" really fucking goes to show that nothing is sacred to them except their own power. not even bothering to hide their bigotry either, jfc

 

they're targeting my favorite diy space in the area (where I have played and booked) and everyone who volunteers there has changed their fb name and all upcoming shows are cancelled

What exactly are they looking for in targeting diy spaces? What makes one more susceptible than another? Trying to see if it's $$$ stuff that maybe I can donate to

 

the oakland fire and subsequent fire department/police department eviction of spaces not up to code has motivated them to have a way to knock out more "libtards" etc etc etc. basically spaces that aren't up to code (so most of them) are really a big target rn

 

If anyone is able please donate to Bridgetown diy. Literally the last collectively organized diy space left in the Southern California area. Shows are the only source of $$$ to pay for rent, utilities, and upgrades with and all shows are being cancelled rn.
