hahaha things have been a bit weird. we've sort of shifted a lot of stuff over to the emo thread after that discussion we had with kevin, haha
think i listened to that once, they played with some bands i know recently so i checked it out

 

Haha I know that, just figured this one really had no ties to emo even in our new loose sense of the word so I'd post it here

Been listening to the LP a ton this past month, haven't heard Slop yet

Listened to the Pill Friends album and really liked it then remembered they were awful people (didn't make the connection til after) and had to delete it, sucks

 

Thought you were telling me Forth Wanderers was Pill Friends and I had no idea what to make of it

i have pretty strong opinions about them and the whole running theme of simplicity and vulnerability being used as crutches rather than tools in songwriting. also kinda hate them bc they perfectly exemplify the aspects of the la music scene that i find most annoying

 

need to listen to forth wanderers tho

editing instead of double posting but people always forget that caroline's 2013 output is one of the best things to come out of "bedroom pop" or w/e so to remind y'all

tbh makes me feel a lot more comfortable listening to florist/told slant. Its nice to see they arn't ignoring it/making excuses, and just owning up to it.

I hope the rest make some sort of comment on the matter.
