This sounds like basically what I wanted Golden Record to sound like. Hopefully this is indicative of the rest of the record because I absolutely love so much about what's going on there haha. The lead in the chorus is sooooo good.

welp AJ's voice is already shot and we're two songs in lol

 

Can't say I'm surprised... But that's a bummer to hear. He sounded okay in a video I saw of last night.

 

He was fine the whole set until work in progress

 

he started the set saying his voice was rough and needed help tonight

that's not a good sign. It's super coarse every song

 

I absolutely love that song, but maybe they should retire it for now.

played a second new song called "color" first new song they wrote

we got almost all of RFTS, haha. From the setlist posted earlier the only other songs they added were one new song, good things, and all other were RFTS

 

i was wondering why last night was so light on RFTS stuff. guess they were saving it all for tonight haha. overall whatd you think?

 

i ended up moving to the side to sit because i was mostly tired, but the show itself was fine. crowd was super into it. but the venue sound wasn't great and AJ was rough. band also wasn't that tight as well, few moments i noticed where they were very off

hope it's just them getting the rust off but it's super nice to see them back

 

last night the only real moment where the band faltered was in the first chorus of war paint, other than that they were good, obviously it had been awhile but they werent noticeably bad or anything just getting their bearings back. i hope aj just went too hard last night since it was their first show and is gonna learn how to treat his voice better as he gets back into the swing of things, another record with vocals like GR isn't exactly what im hoping for.
