New song is fantastic. Like their first two records mixed with some Have Mercy. Need to relisten as I only it the once but I'm excited.

love hearing AJ's voice again

 

Wonder if they'll have a touring guitarist. I feel like they'd sound pretty bad with just one guitar.

 

I really like the new song. Excited for the whole album now. Glad to hear it's less like Golden Record.

Really really like this new song. AJs voice sounds great imo. He’s still a top notch lyricist too.

I like the guitars as well. Hopefully this is just a small taste of what’s to come and there’s some experimental tracks. Barring a handful of songs I’ve always thought this bands biggest issue was homogeny. A lot of their songs just sound the same but that’s negligible since the songwriting is consistently good. Either way I’m happy

 

Not really a fan of how the drums are mixed, but otherwise it's enjoyable. Vocals are definitely grungy/scratchier, I think I dig it

Finally heard the new song and love it. It still hasn't sunk in that these guys are back.

 

Fire has grown on me a lot, I enjoyed it at first, but overall was pretty neutral. Happy it clicked with me

 

Ghosts is out there for iTunes preorders, supposedly?

 

I think it was only out briefly and then pulled (even for preorderers). I tried to track it down today but didn’t see it. I’d imagine it will be out Friday although they were vague and just said soon, so maybe next week is more likely.

 

I need to get my hands on Ghosts.
