Catholic Girls and Fog are my faves for sure

 

Miles Apart has definitely been a standout for me on the first few listens

 

Also, leading up to Golden Record, they did a few promo acoustic sets and AJ’s voice sounded pretty rough. I remember a lot of people on the AbsolutePunk forums were put off by the harsh screaming.

Listening back to those now after S/T and MN, it doesn’t seem as ridiculous, but at the time the new style was jarring.

Worshipping RFTS like we collectively did, songs like “I’m So Pathetic” didn’t fit our expectations.

 

Identical list of songs I like from that record sans We Will Wait.. Anchor is one of my favorite overall TDS songs.

 

I know it's a hot take on here but I'm not a fan of Catholic Girls.

To me the highlights on GR are Sins, Honestly and We Will Wait in the Fog.

 

"Catholic Girls" has a special place in my heart because it came out a month or two after I graduated college and moved to a new city in a new state. No song has ever made me miss home more.

 

“I’m So Pathetic” is one of my favorites from GR and that bridge feels like it’s out of a Glassjaw or early TBS song

 

Yeah Golden Record is definitely screamier. I'm going to listen to the s/t for the first time next. Seems like that one was more of a "relieved it's not bad" than a true bounce-back record for a lot of people. I'm interested to hear how the band sounded upon return from hiatus, and how they grew that sound to Mother Nature.

 

No, self titled is honestly pretty good. Color is a shaky opener but it picks up really quick. It definitely feels like a reunion album, imo, but a damn good one

 

I honestly love the self titled album a lot, even if I would rank it 4th behind MN, RFTS, and WP.

 

Valium and Infinite are my faves from s/t

 

As time has gone on I think....I can't believe I'm about to type this but I think the S/T is my least favorite album of theirs. It’s consistently fine but it doesn’t have the highs of GR.

 

Ghosts and Infinite are definitely in my top 10 TDS songs.

 

I really like Color too.

My Spotify most listened song in 2018 was Catholic Girls. I discovered TDS in 2018. It's one of my all time fave songs by any artist

Still adore the shit out of this album. Def my number 2 from them. Haven’t been hit this hard by a TDS album since RFTS.

 

Hitting 67 degrees here in MA so definitely gonna blast this as it reminds me heavily of summer

 

Hey guys been a while. AJ Posted an Instagram story with a link to 2 songs he wrote recently for his song workshop where he will make a song for you based on your life/situation etc. Anyways I thought these 2 songs were killer. Would love to hear more stripped down less produced stuff like this thrown in occasionally on future albums. Let me know your guys thoughts
