Similar to the stuff they’ve had in the past, the PBR Fire shirt, dale racing car shirt, plain band name etc. I think a few different records and CDs too.

Every day I have a different fave of the four songs released. I'm sure that's a good sign for the rest of the album

We reach for the longest shadow

I haven't heard the album yet, but I just finished my discog run through (well, RFTS through self titled) and had some quick thoughts.

RFTS - Still my favorite. New one could compete though. This band writes unreal bridges.
War Paint - Expands on RFTS, but AJ starts getting a little more gruff in his voice. some all timers here for sure, but 1-2 that dont click with me.
Golden Record - hoo boy. this thing is angry, and i didnt fully grasp that until this listen. some of these songs are cool out of the context of the full album (Sins is awesome), but it is exhausting as a whole. the treble heavy production doesnt help either.
Self Titled - Really comes out of the gate swinging, but lulls me in the middle, and picks back up at the end. a solid return to form.

Excited to finally listen to the new one Friday. Listening to the singles currently.

It is kind of funny that the preorders went out so early that I can even say ‘still’ this far out

The title track has some of the best lyrics AJ has ever written.

All these songs have such good lyrics. I’d go with Consequence of Living for best in that department

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

some of the best lyrics ever written in this genre*

seriously. props to "Work in Progress" for a largely uncontested eight year run as my favourite TDS song but "Mother Nature" has solidly pulled ahead

I took a break as well, I love the whole album but when Where Were You was first released it hit me in a way that it’s still my favorite. The timing was perfect.

The lyrics and drums on Blind Ambition and Consequence of Living blow my mind every time and It Is Real is a favorite because that shit is so sick.

Had my first listen. This is fine. Better than their last by a distance. We'll see if it comes close to their earlier work for me in time.

Happy release day! It just hit me that today is the last day of high school for my town and I’m sure many others. I hope some kid in high school finds this album and lets it dictate their summer.

I thought of that too. Last day here too. I think they were supposed to get out a few days ago, but we had like 12 snow days, so they had to tack a few days on at the end of the year.
