Nice! I almost visited their shop while in Philly (picking up an espresso machine actually) last weekend. We hit up Ultimo instead. Glad to hear it's good, I'll have to order a bag.

Just received a couple bags of Tandem Coffee (out of Portland Maine). First time trying them out.

My shop rotates roasters every couple of months. So far this year we've had:

Merit- San Antonio. Not bad but nothing special.

Common Room- Newport Beach. Fire single origins and great espresso. Also check out their shop if you're in that area. Beautiful space.

Take Flight- My favorite new roaster. Mostly found around SoCal but you can order online.

Brandywine- Delaware. Great coffees and really fun packaging designs.

Brandywine is dope. Love their packaging, coffee is great, too. My wife and I have offered them at our pop ups.

  12. I've had an Aeropress since this past Christmas and I love it, but I don't have a grinder so I've just been buying pre-ground, which I know isn't the best. From what I can tell the Porlex Mini is the way to go with an Aeropress, I just need to be willing to spend the money.

If I do eventually get a grinder, what's the best widely available coffee to buy (that's not absurdly expensive)? I know Stumptown is really popular.

I find most specialty coffee is gonna run around the same price wise. Shipping is where you can save money. A lot of roasters do free shipping over $30 or so. Some of my favorite roasters that do this are Crema, Passenger, and Verve.

we just got one of these around the block from my office and it's so cool. They roast the beans on site and send whatever one your choose through like, a mail delivery chute and grind/brew each cup individually. it might just be flashy but I'm pretty genuinely delighted every time I go.

I love my French Press I literally use it everyday, also has helped with my caffeine addiction since the coffee isn't quite as strong.

I've been steeping my own cold brew for like the past year and I don't know if I can ever go back to hot brewed coffee. It tastes way better, lower acidity, higher caffeine concentration. Also been experimenting with flavoring it and organic cinnamon has been amazing with it.

my fiance and I got a cold brewer from BB&B from our registry, and we love it.

Primula® 50 oz. Cold Brew Coffee Maker

I have not attempted it outside of using this, since it's super easy, my only "complaint" would be that it requires a LOT of coffee and only produces maybe 4-5 coffee mugs worth when all is said and done. but i am sure that if you are experienced in doing it on your own, you can yield much more coffee using a far larger vessel.

as someone who only likes to drink their coffee iced/cold.....this was a must own haha

Super easy! I use this set up here. Its just a really big seive that the coffee grounds go into and a 64 oz. mason jar. I usually fit about 2 cups of ground coffee into it and it lasts me all week.

Cold brewing is a slow process though. At a minimum, it will take around 12 hours at room temp to fully steep. Or 24 hours if you do it cold in the fridge (does't really matter which you do from my experience).

It was really good! With that being said, I wouldn't be shelling out a hundred dollars a pound for it!
