    just one of those ghosts

This is the best Tooth & Nail's lineup has been since the 00's golden era imo.

The production is almost TOO slick. It sounds like they're trying to be Anberlin. I like the song otherwise, though.

I was thinking that actually. Greyhaven being on the roster too (I know they are Solid State).

It’s nice to see them making great decisions after quite a while where nothing caught my attention.

I am loving this new My Epic song. Already pre-ordered the album. Thankfully, it's a relatively short album roll out too.

I don't think I've liked anything they've released since their second album tbh

Maylene is back!? lol, love that for them. Hope they’re still naming their albums sequential Roman numerals; what are they at now, IV or V?

The second one was easily the peak from what I recall, but I don’t know if some of that was also it coming out at the peak of me giving a shit about that sound.

It's a step in the right direction at least. I can remember IV being woeful with songs like 'Faith Healer (Bring Me Down)' lol

I dig this. Reminds me of A Life Once Lost at parts. Still just amazing we are actually getting new stuff at all from them given what Dallas has experienced. So happy to have this in any capacity!

Even they hated that album lol. The label forced them to write more accessible songs.

Glad they're going back to their roots with the new stuff.

Maybe an odd request, but does anyone have any good music documentary recommendations from faith-based artists?

My go to examples are Jon Foreman’s 25 in 24 and The Snake The Cross The Crown’s On The Carousel Of Sound We Go Round. Both completely different from each other but my wife and I have been enjoying things like that recently and wondered if there are any out there that might interest us. Anyone got any favourites (plus where to watch it)?

The rise and fall of five iron frenzy is great, I think it’s only on dvd though, I haven’t seen it streaming. The Tooth and Nail Doc is on YouTube I think, No New Kinda Story

I have a bunch of old band dvds somewhere but I think they are mostly live shows or music videos

    Fight the long defeat.

Josh Garrels has a good one called The Sea In Between that features some great live performances. Free on YouTube or Amazon, if memory serves.

Idk how Christian they really are anymore but the Lesser Lights of Heaven documentary on Zao was pretty cool

Ooh ooh I got a good one. I still have this on DVD somewhere, but years ago there was a documentary made titled “Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music?” after the Larry Norman song, and it’s primarily footage shot and filmed at Cornerstone 2003. It was directed by a couple people who aren’t Christian, but were interviewing indie artists at the festival in an attempt to understand the burgeoning Christian rock scene around that time. Got some pretty interesting subjects, including David Bazan in the last days of his dwindling faith (and you can absolutely tell based on some of his responses). I just went looking for it and the whole thing is up on YouTube:

Here's a documentary about the Cornerstone festival that's pretty good. I road tripped there all the way from Canada twice and saw so many great bands.

I would have loved to attend Cornerstone. Best I could do was a Skillet festival at a theme park.

Pedro The Lion / Bazaan documentary is good. Don’t think it’s streaming anywhere but it’s on Amazon to buy or rent
