Smashmouth- Astro Lounge

Was this recommendation a joke? Even us Saiyans had heard of AllStar before, but that was the only song to my knowledge that made its way to planet Vegeta. And I wish it had stayed that way. I tried to get into this album because with an album title like that I thought it would speak to me. It didn’t. In fact there were times I found myself wanting Krillin to come over so I could punch something in frustration over this album. I found it hard to get through. I still enjoy AllStar mainly from a nostalgic standpoint but the rest of the album was worse than sitting through one of Frieza’s interrogations.

Cloudnothings- Life Without Sound

This was more like it! This indie rock band really did a great job on this album, I have to say. At only 38 minutes, it was the perfect sound piece to my training regime and I found myself listening to it multiple times, where I did not wish to revisit that other album I heard this week. Especially Things Are Right With You and Darkened Rings, those songs got the repeat button a couple times in my space pod on my way to work. It’s heavy yet sings to the warrior soul, and it was something I would definitley share back at home if my home planet still existed. Albums like this are reasons I am glad this club exists because I would never had known about this band otherwise. Might even make my year end list since the album came out this year.

i think thursday does heavy better when its more chaotic and messy and i think fc is that more than watt. a lot of watt sounds less spontaneous to me, save the last two tracks. im not a big fan of signals over the air or falling bomb either. plus fc has less spoken word haha

 

@Larry David gave me Blindside- About A Burning Fire and Dredg- El Cielo and i gave him petal - shame and athletics - who you are is not enough!

 

I was planning on rec'ing Blindside at some point. Thought I would for sure be the only one. Enjoy!

I haven't actually heard back from @navidson to know if my recs were accepted but I've listened to all three that were assigned to me for this week. Flying home from vacation tomorrow and I should be able to write up some thoughts then.
