I don't really listen to Thrice anymore, but if I were to return to them, it'd be the Alchemy Index. Probably their most adult work before they pushed into dad-rock territories.

I really love Is A Real Boy when I'm in the mood for it. Feel like that's an album that doesn't work without knowing its context (written during a bipolar psychosis, intended to be a rock-opera). Kinda meant to be over the top. Its chaos and disorder is what draws me to it, similar to TBS' Tell All Your Friends.

Haven't listened to Dog Problems in a very long while. Don't really feel the need to return to it TBH. Nate Ruess' voice grates on me now.

As for MCS, I love that album. I can throw that one on any time.

Even If It Kills Me is my favorite MCS. I feel like I was too young when CTTM came out, but that one hit me at the exact right time.

  6. Vheissu is a top three, maybe a top two Thrice album depending on the day

Love that album, and I think for people on this site especially who haven't heard it, they might find it a lot more to their tastes than they expect. It has pop-rock, power ballads, screamo (well screams). It absolutely rocks.

The National (x2), Jason Isbell and The Weakerthans are my only blindspots on there, have heard everything else at least once

I just can't get into The National dude's voice at all, tried again after folklore and it's just not for me. I don't know a ton about Jason Isbell and just haven't dove into Weakerthans full albums

last.fm tells me I have listened to that Hotelier album 4 times, but I can't recall a thing about it. I've even listened to Goodness a couple times and can't even guess what they sound like. I guess this is as good of a time as any to give them another shot
