  1. Eh, DJ Lethal created the demo himself and DJ Premiere updated it for the band!

Still doesn’t mean Method Man completely overshadowed Fred.

Fred rapping sounds like a boy who just hit puberty.

I would just like to say in my view, the point of karaoke is to have fun and do bad covers while encouraging a singalong. Pretty much all the songs on the last playlist ticked a box.

Yeah that’s the best one. Though I also kinda like the version of Rollin’ with Method Man, Redman and DMX, haha.

  7. Some real fucking bangers in here. I went with my gut on this one, but I almost picked Vindicated and am surprised no one else did!

My alternate picks for this round were Green Day’s “J.A.R.” from the Angus soundtrack and Further Seems Forever’s “There Now I’ve Said It”. If it were on streaming I would have gone with Jimmy Eat World’s “Open Bar Reception” which is at least a top 10 song from them:

My backups were Vindicated and Charli XCX’s Boys.

Does Vindicated count? It’s technically on (the CD release of) Dusk and Summer.

Love Will Tear Us Apart is a monumental pick, damn

  13. I don’t remember it being on there, but considering it was 18 years ago I wouldn’t be surprised to be wrong! Personally I was considering any song that wasn’t part of a standard issue release (deluxe editions on the table still), so if you’re right then I dodged a bullet

    It’s a pre-gap hidden/bonus track!

my top "not on streaming" pick is the Gorillaz / Andre 3000 / LCD Soundsystem collab track that's like 15 min long, DoYaThing. It's amazing, the best ever, would have won all the points of course

For some reason I've always associated Vidnicated with being on Dusk and Summer, I never knew it was only later included as a bonus track.

At a cursory glance, might be one of the strongest playlists we've had. Some really cool choices this week. There's a couple there I completely forgot weren't on albums.

Justice for A320/Gifts and Curses, two songs which immediately sprang to mind for this week but aren't on streaming services.

Oddly enough it is on the CD for Dusk and Summer, but only as a hidden pre-gap track

J.A.R. by Green Day I CANNOT believe I didn’t think of.

Actually one of the best examples for me of another era of music nerd-dom. Before International Superhits came out in ‘01, I remember searching the internet frantically for a tracklist - because as a Green Day fanatic I NEEDED to know what songs made the cut. Think I found it on allmusic.com or something haha.

I remember wondering WHAT that song was when I saw the title - was it a new song? Something super cool that I didn’t know the title to??

And when I got the CD and heard it, it was that crazy AHA! Moment that is so hard to get these days with the availability of music and knowledge …. HOLY SHIT I REMEMBER THIS SONG!!!! Never saw the movie Angus , didn’t know it was a soundtrack song, but had heard it as a minor hit on FM radio as a middle schooler, just didn’t know the title.

lol anyway long story short that shit is DEFINITELY getting some votes from me this round. Awesome choice.

After years of telling anyone who will listen Enter Shikari's ability to write incredible stand alone songs outside of their albums is unmatched, absolutely mortified they somehow slipped my mind when it came to this.

lol it’s getting a lot of votes in my heart I guess! Hahahah

My bad lol I should’ve made that a reply to @Elder Lightning and his comment that it was his alternate.

I think I read his comment WHILE I was listening to the playlist and somehow got it in my head that he had submitted it. Whoops
