Lmao I really do love this meme but I fall in the psychopath who has worked retail and still loves it group.

 

Is a soundtrack a compilation? What about a (rap) label sampler? Asking for round 9.

 

I think I probably would consider soundtrack songs to not be singles but a label sampler is a compilation

I would personally consider it valid in either scenario. As long as the song received the “single” treatment and was not part of a regular album released by the artist separate from the movie, then I’ll vote for it. But that’s just me - you may not get votes from anyone else lol

By the way, I’ve joined three other leagues. I have a problem.

 

Don't worry, Season 2 here is my 8th haha. I won a pretty enjoyable Beatles league and came in third for a covers league that were both open leagues with randos

 

That non-album round was my idea, and for what it's worth I definitely pictured soundtrack songs being eligible. Anything that didn't appear on an album or EP by that artist.

 

It's settled then!!

 

For any of the rounds, what if your song does not appear on Spotify? Just had a quick search for one I'm thinking of and it doesn't seem to be there.

 

I think the proposed solution to this before has just been to submit a “dummy” song and then basically just put in the description what your actual choice is so everyone can look it up on YouTube or whatever

 

Yeah I don't think there's a good solution since the app is spotify based

 

A320 by Foo Fighters off the Godzilla soundtrack 100% would have been my choice for round 9, and alas it’s not on Spotify….

 

I probably wouldn’t do that because chances are too high people don’t see it and vote based on the dummy song

Otherwise half my picks would be 00s mixtape tracks lol

This Waitresses song is soooo good. I also really love the They Might Be Giants song, lol.

 

Also I’m still so happy that this put The Honorary Title back on my radar.

(Listening to the playlist now and my girlfriend popped in to ask who the band was when Snow Day was playing).

 

If you haven't before, check out the album from Night Terrors of 1927, the singers following band. They didn't last long but it's a really solid album

 

Random question: why do some songs not make on the voting? They are on the playlist but not eligible to be voted on?
