LOL at my big boost of points for Chat Pile being the only thing keeping two Nada Surf songs (one of them selected by me) out of first place.

I always remind myself that everyone here hates 2010s post-hardcore and still never let that fact dissuade me from coming in last place when those songs fit the theme best of what I like haha

 

It’s ok they don’t like Weezer either

 

Glad many of you were into Chat Pile, I absolutely love that album. I considered submitting "grimace_smoking_weed.jpeg" because it's the greatest song ever, but it's also 9 minutes long and even more intense.

 

Friendjamin was brutal this round!

Kinda feel dumb about suddenly remembering my alternate pick, which was more accessible than good old Solid State/Tooth & Nail christiancore

I just changed to my 3rd song but I think I'm finally settled on it. I was listening to a playlist of others and put myself in a mild funk pondering my inevitable mortality.

 

I had a pretty popular song locked down for this round and then decided to change it to something extremely personal, lo and behold I honestly cannot believe someone else already took it. Might fuck around and dish out a 15-20 point award to one of your sneaky sunnuva guns

It occurred to me that by the end of next season we’ll have been doing this for a full year. Look at the time fly

 

So sorry everyone!! I’ll be honest I was a bit stuck this round. We had a similar round in season 1 , the “end credits” theme for the movie about your life and I used ETID “thing with feathers”. Was gonna just use it again but thought that was lame PLUS it was already used this season for another theme!

ultimately I had settled on The Beatles “in my life” which I think is a safe and somewhat cliche choice , so I wasn’t expecting to do well anyway. But cheers it was still a fun season and I’m here for as long as we keep this going!
