Looove the theme. I've been wanting them to do something like exes or bloodlines again.

 

CBS Challenge: Oh my was this so awful. They edited out so much for the women that I'm not sure it was fair in any way. Tyson has gone OFF about the inconsistences of the final for everyone. I kinda feel like no woman should have won since they all essentially quit. Whatever they need a body to represent USA in the global challenge.



Challenge "documentary": Cool to see some unreleased footage and some good interviews from the producers. Kinda wish some other company had done this so there was an opportunity to talk about the Kenny/Evan situation. Oh and not having Chuck Klosterman, Bill Simmons, David Jacoby or Juliet Litman on is a huge miss. Those 4 were HUGE in calling it America's 5th sport.

 

I just watched the CBS final and am appalled. The All Stars 2 final was apparently also janky but they were at least able to edit out the jank. This was so bad there was no editing that could fix it. Reading Tyson's thoughts and a summary of his podcast this was an absolute shitshow. Would be surprised if we saw any of these finalists again outside of Danny/Sarah for the World Championship

 

Anyone watch Ride or Die yet?

 

Been a huge challenge fan for 2 decades and never missed an episode. I but on the premiere last night and shockingly didnt even watch it all. First time ever. I still love this show, but the cast just wasn't very interesting. Will certainly rewatch it again this weekend and every episode still.

 

I watched yesterday. Mixed feelings on the episode. On one hand I like that the Draw is back from Free Agents with a twist, but I wish they would bring in the Vet pairs that they're showing in the supercut trailers for the rest of the season all at once. I'm guessing we get them in the next two weeks but why not just have them come in the beginning? Feels kinda cheap. Johnny and Ravyn were targeting vets so if Johnny/Nany were in the game from the start there's a decent chance they would have been in the Draw.

Also I think I saw Kaycee in the supercut trailer? Does she come back? I'm confused.

 

Bringing the vets in like that also protects them a little - which I feel like is better for ratings maybe?

I noticed that too. I thought it looked like Nany on the stretcher though, so maybe she gets hurt and Kaycee replaces?

 

They had an episode on Monday that broke down the teams in case anyone wants to watch that. It had some sneak peeks in it as well.

 

Yeah you're probably right on the vets. Production doesn't want to give Veronica/Darrell the money required to get them on main show and have them go out on week 1. Kailah couldn't have been a cheap get either.

 

Yeah, I watched but I barely paid attention because I was confused why I wasn't seeing Bananas, Jordan, or Darrell. Nelson giving the opening toast was cringe. That's Johnny's job! Haha. Although I am excited about the Devin and Tori pairing. I knew they'd crush that elimination.

 

What’s up with Turbo? What a bizarre dude.

 

I feel like he just gets weirder each season. Loved how quickly Devin was apologizing to him

 

This show should be streaming next day on Paramount + similar to Big Brother and Survivor. Moved out of my parent's house this week with no intent to get cable so I guess I'm SOL unless I'm back there.

 

I think it's partly cultural.

 

super quiet this season in the forums. You guys not enjoying Ride or Dies? It's decent. Not sure I like the two teams part now.

 

I’m interested to see how the new twist plays out. I’ve enjoyed this group of rookies and that it hasn’t totally been the vets running the game the whole time.

 

I want Jordan to take it all, but Anessa gunna weigh him down in a Finale for sure. If he even makes it. Would also be cool to see Devin get one. Or Horacio. Wouldn't even mind Bananas and Nany.

 

I'd like to see Devin and Tori win. They've never been in first. I think we can all agree though that a Fessy win would be the worst.

This season has been boring in the actual gameplay. Although a decent chunk of these rookies are interesting.

Im bummed Nelly T is gone, hes not my favourite competitor but he does make some entertaining TV.

 

That's okay. We still have Devin's spot on imitations of things Nelson would say.

 

Fes and eating challenges+TJ laughter is the perfect combination.

 

Devin's "fire away" was amazing. I can't believe they helped Fessy. UGH. That was a great challenge and elimination. Solid episode.
