Working on our week long bottle share. So far, with a lot more to come:

    08-15 BCBS vertical
    15 BCBS Rare
    14 Griffin Claw Flying Buffalo
    15 Griffin Claw Flying Buffalo
    Hoof Hearted Side Pipipin'
Hoof Hearted I'll Have What She's Having
    Dark Horse Toonilla
Dark Horse Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee Vanilla Toonilla
    Dark Horse Crooked Tree
    Olde Hickory Lindley Park
    Cigar City Marshal Zhukov
Cigar City Guayabera Citra Pale Ale
Cigar City White Oak Jai Alai
    Alesmith IPA
    Founders Pale Joe
    Yazoo Hop Perfect
    Cycle Crank
    Green Bench Sunshine City IPA
    Atwater Bloktoberfest
    Boulevard The Calling

The 8 year vertical was pretty amazing, but became overwhelming by the end. I was planning to do 5 at Christmas when I'll have a 16, but that doesn't even seem interesting to me at this point. I'll Have What She's Having is about as close to a Tree House beer that I've had that wasn't actually Tree House -- it was great.

It was $1 on clearance, but we drank it so I listed it, haha.

Atwater is just terrible, haha. $1 is about what their beers are worth. They make me honestly think about whether I'd prefer a macro lager or not. Just something in their water that comes across as harsh and astringent and on top of that, they're brewing 'german style' beers suited for people just getting into craft beer. But, at the bottle shop I used to work at, their Vanilla Java Porter was a consistent best seller for us. Always in the top five in sales; it blew my mind.

Also, they're a pretty big brewery, in the top 5-7 in Michigan and they opened a spot in Austin this year with the daughter of the founder of Hoegarden. Blows my mind. Atwater sucks.

Yeah, Atwater is not good. It amazes me how common they are to find on tap and in stores too, especially for that quality.

Speaking of breweries to steer clear from, avoid Aqueduct in Akron, OH at all costs.

I finally enjoyed some New Glarus Staghorn Octoberfest this year. Maybe it's just the Wisconsinite in me, but I do love some New Glarus.

New Glarus is probably the most beautiful brewery I've been to. Brought back all the fruits.

It is a pretty fantastic brewery. Wisconsin doesn't have much going on except beer and cheese, but at least we do that well.

I got a really good deal on a bunch of Roak Devil Dog and Live Wire (24 beers for 15 bucks) and that was an absolute steal. Both are great.

I gotta get myself some Cantillon, what are typical prices for their stuff here in the states?

i've been lucky that i grabbed each of those for about $12-13 each for 375ml. it depends on the variant. Some are cheaper than others.

Got a 5 gallon used whiskey barrel the other day. Super excited to brew up a big imperial stout to put in it. Going to do a few clean beers in it to strip the whiskey flavor then switch it over to saison and sour stuff.

Bought some of Trader Joe's beer bread mix to give it a shot, just add beer (and butter)! Trying a simple one with Fat Tire first, but could be fun to expierment if it's any good

been sticking to local beers almost exclusively lately.
just grabbed some of Indeed's Sunken City Saison, and I'm really enjoying that.
my go-to spot for an evening out is Able Brewery in NE Minneapolis, and they've got a great line-up, always coming up with new stuff, too. It's also nice to have a brewery that isn't centered around IPA's, like everyone else in the area seems to be.

    favorites of theirs:
    BLK WLF (nitro-tapped coffee stout)
    Supergiant (super mellow golden ale)
Propers (delicious pub ale, my #1)

doesn't hurt that they've always got some solid food trucks out front, too.

    mmmmmmm that sounds so tasty.

My beer bread came out alright, but my co-worker made some last night with Pumpkin Spice beer and it came out way tastier
