I've had some luck finding a few of my other white whale beers recently. DDG, West Ashley, and Veil's Starve series are ones I've recently been able to get, but I still have a sizeable list of other elusive beers I'm always hunting for

Tried a morning post to see if I can figure out the Instagram algorithm and at what time of day puts me in the feed of my followers. It's not going well lol.

 

the usual algorithms are all fucked up now that more people work from home. Usually a good rule of thumb would be when people are getting off work, but now everyone is at home ha. Saturday and Sundays are really good days if you want to save up some of your best for then. Otherwise, I would suggest somewhere between lunch time and dinner during the week.

 

he actually got it from his girlfriend's cousin. we live in PA but the cousin lives in NJ. I don't know much about Tavour but apparently the really sought-after beers get dropped in states on rotation? so it wasn't available in PA but it was available in NJ? I don't know, it was a little confusing when he explained it to me.

Regardless, no idea what he paid, because he wouldn't let me venmo him!

I've been roughly seeking it for like two years now, but just came to expect that I would never get it, and then my friend out of nowhere says that he got a can of the double oaked. I was shocked.

 

Burial People Power IPA. they're giving 100% of profits to the ACLU, which rules, and it's a super smooth IPA. hell yeah.

 

Burial doesn’t make it out here too often, but I’ve liked the few things I’ve tried.

 

The Anchorage jawn showed up on my Tavour. It was like 50-60 or something ridiculous

 

Picked up some Untitled Art and Bottle Logic tonight, good haul

 

Bodem is the best IPA known to man. Hail Satan and clean glassware.

 

Deconstructed O, it's good but there's not really any chilli pepper flavor tbh. I'm guessing this bottle is a few years old and the pepper mellowed so much it's gone. Much better taste than the vanilla though so that's good.

 

How good is Abraxas and is it worth $30ish? I've heard of it so much, but is it all it's cracked up to be? Saw it at my bottle shop today

 

$30 seems high to me. Granted, I think I’ve only had it once and it was about a year ago, but I remember it being a bit too strong on the cinnamon. Certainly a good beer though, just didn’t blow my mind.

 

Good intel. Is it usually like, hard to get? Or just well known?
