  1. I go very, very Gose heavy in the summer. I usually buy up and stockpile most the Westbrook Gose that comes to my area throughout the year and drink it in the summer, because we only get a few 6-packs every couple months at my local bottle shop. I think I drank 70+ of them last summer.

    Edit... 70+ beers, not 70+ 6-packs haha

Haven't had No Rules yet this year but it was fantastic last year. Going to have it at work on Thursday, so I'm hoping this cold clears up by then. Have a sixer of SUPER fresh three floyds in my fridge I haven't been to get into because the cold.

Drinking a Jai Alai right now in FL. It's very good, I wish I could get this up by me!

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

The Watermelon Dorado was one of the worst beers I've had. Way too sweet, made me feel sick

Zombie Dust? I picked up a six-pack of that last week but I've only had one so far, on Sunday when it was 70 degrees outside.

My personal favorite is Westbrook's Gose, mainly because it is super-salty and I enjoy salty beers. Second behind that comes Anderson Valley's Holy Gose (also, the Blood Orange version is on-point)

Gose is totally exploding popularity-wise and I'm very into it

Yeah I've noticed an increase in Gose styled brews as well, and I'm v into it! They're opening a bar entirely devoted to sours & ciders in my city this summer

I had the Otra Vez last week-- pretty good. Got a 4/5 on Untappd from me.

Fegley's Cran Gose is alright. I really liked the Boulevard Hibiscus Gose. It pulls off the "flowery but not obnoxious about it" flavor.

the ones listed above are winners!! I honestly have had more local ones than bottled, so I am not as helpful if you're gonna go out and buy some

three zombie dust's, two gumball and one alpha king. Believe they're all about a week old but they were given to me like two days after bottling.

I can't imagine that it would be hard to find at all. AV is a Cali brewery and these cans are everywhere on the east coast. Even in the TINY town I live in, several restaurants and our bottle shop have had it off and on both on tap and in cans.

I'm really mad I had no idea about Goses when I was in Leipzig a few years ago, considering that's the home of them basically. Really dig the style too, one of the Halifax breweries called Good Robot has one but it was tapped out at the restaurant I saw it at the other day. Hopefully it'll be available in the spring. Gonna try to get at Off Color's version as well when I'm home in a few weeks.

This is pretty crazy, what city is this?

I think this is more of a case of brewers misnaming/mislabeling their beers and confusing similar sounding names of styles for each other. Just because they're getting it wrong doesn't mean we should condone or accept it.

These are beers brewed entirely differently, with vastly different characteristics, and different ingredients. While both can be lightly to moderately sour and have some fruity characteristics, that's about where the similarities end. Gueuze's defining characteristics is the balance between the acidity, the fruitiness, and the "funk"-ier character from pedio and brett; but that "funk" is entirely out of character for a Gose, which should be lightly to moderately sour but otherwise clean, with some brightness and citrusy character from the additions of salt and coriander (both of which would be incredibly out of style in a Gueuze).

Not to mention they developed in entirely different areas and the fermentation character of Gueuze is from the wild microorganisms found in the Brussels/Senne River valley areas, which would not be the same as in Goslar or Leipzig, Germany. And Guezue is, by definition, a blend of 1, 2, and 3-year old lambics, whereas Gose should be consumed fresh(er).

None of this is to say I'm against experimenting and melding styles, but don't call something a Gose or a Gueuze if it's not; eventually someone's salty vinegar beer is going to turn someone off from a style that they might otherwise enjoy.

i fell like mislabeling beer styles happens often... and i don't like it either.
