Getting the @waking season lager train going again...

 

Love to see it! I need to try Kane, a buddy of mine from college loves them but I’ve yet to try them.

 

Picked up some of Stoneface’s version of All Together. Lighter than I was expecting so that was a really nice surprise given the heat in NH today. Paired nicely with the goat cheese in my dinner too!

 

Best of NJ, for sure.

 

Decided to go full Euro for my last Paulaner. I think I’m going to get a case next time instead of a 4 pack.

I know I’ve said it many times but Allagash Coolship Peche is near the top, if not at the top, of my beer list. So good

 

digging into some of my stouts from the Pastrytown pick-up. also hit 500 in the ole Untappd.

I do not agree that kane is the best of nj

 

Icarus is the only other brewery I'd put in the same league as them, but I really don't think it's even close. They're probably about neck-and-neck in IPAs at this point, but Kane is still way better overall in my book.

EDIT: Referend deserves to be mentioned as well, they're just doing a very specific, niche thing.

 

Broke into a bottle of Bottle Logic Paisley Cave Complex (BBA imperial stout with blueberries) tonight. Haven’t had much BL before because of the price tag, but damn is this good.

 

How do you all usually ship beer/alcohol across the country?

 

Illegally. I usually buy a 6 bottle wine shipper from U-Haul and ship via ups/fedex

 

I usually try to put each beer in a plastic bag, in case of leaks it doesn’t get everywhere, and then bubble wrap each one. The fill all the empty space with crumpled newspaper or more bubble wrap to keep everything from moving around in the box.

but yeah don’t mention what it is at the postal store. It’s technically illegal so they won’t ship if they know what it is

Found these at my liquor store. A year ago you couldn't get kane, then you could only get head high and sneak box, now there are four or five kinds on the shelf in south Jersey. They really upped their distribution.

This is the second time I've seen a Grimm beer for sale down here.

 

You guys think it’s ok to mix beer, and seltzer? Like mixing wine/beer is bad, and liquor/beer is bad etc.

I didn’t mean like literally mix them, but now that you say that it sounds delicious.....

 

Hmm I mix stuff constantly and have never had an issue. Especially switching off from beers to seltzer’s

 

I will drink one or two beers and go to seltzers to curb the carb and calories
