But there's a ShakeShack in SeaPort now, which makes for a nice lunch/dinner spot to hit up on the way to/from there.

 

Just snagged the third-to-last can of this one like and hour ago

Had a SARA saison last night that was delicious. Highly recommend seeking out their beers. They never disappoint.

 

Just found out they’re building a Beerhead right around the corner from my neighborhood and another local brewery is also opening up a few streets away.

 

Which one?

 

This time it was Woven.

 

Sounds delicious. I was really into Matrices, their collab w/ Side Project

So SF beer week starts tonight and I’m super excited! So many cool events

 

What are some of the breweries attending?

 

I’m assuming Anchor Steam, and Speakeasy.

 

My lady and I started a craft beer/horror movie podcast and I think it'll be of interest to some of you.

We pair a beer with a movie, either based on title or themes in the movie. So far we've done Nightmare. Cujo, and Hostel. Check it out!

Oh gosh, there's way too many to list. Pretty much all Bay Area breweries are participating in some capacity, plus there's lots of events where you can get beer that doesn't normally make it out this way.

HopCat Chicago closed - effective immediately. No warning, no announcement until today. This is crazy because they were always busy and seemed to have excellent business. Me and my girlfriend had our first date there over 2 years ago, so we will likely be drinking in HC's honor tonight.

 

Interesting. I don't think I've heard of any of the Hopcat locations closing ever so this would be the first, if I'm not wrong.

 

The guy is blaming the location in setting up shop in Lincoln Park and says it’s not a restaurant district, but that’s because it’s basically next to the lakefront.

Walk ten minutes west to Lincoln/Halsted and you’ve got a huge restaurant/bar district with way better public transit access.
