Michigan got screwed with BCBS this year. I managed to get two bottles but it was brutal.

Christ, I would've loved that. I picked up my one bottle. I couldn't sleep last night so I got like 2 hours of sleep and when I got up at 6:55 I was like "I'm not fuckin' hunting this down today" haha. One's enough for me.

The stores in NH got them late so each store released them at random times throughout the day. I’m pretty sure they only got maybe 2 cases each and were limited to 1 per person. Was able to drag my wife along so I could get 2 bottles at least

My liquor store had BCBS for at least two months after release last year, curious if it'll be the same this year

My girlfriend and I cracked open One Way or Another, a collab between cascade and bruery terreaux. It’s an oak-aged sour tripel with Oregon marionberries and California Meyer lemon zest. However cascade and bruery terreaux each brewed their own versions at their respective breweries. We had the bruery terreaux version. So so good!! Tons of blackberry flavor. One of the best beers I’ve ever had, highly recommend anyone to get it if they see it.

I love this post. I have both versions but have only had The Bruery one so far, love it though. Actually about to have a bottle tonight.

anyone's local bottle shops hear anything about CBS yet? I've talked to two of mine and neither of them know if they'll be getting it. which is wild cause it's supposed to release in a week.

also, Philly-area people, I had Pizza Boy's White Bronco last night and it was surprisingly delicious. highly recommend.

I asked one of my shops a week or two ago and they said they’d be getting it but didn’t know any details. Haven’t heard anything else yet

As far as I know, founders has shipped cbs out west already. Should hit shelves on December 1st and in something like 46 states.

It seems like there’s a decent amount to go around with that kind of distribution.

Been drinking Resin. I remember this being rare-ish around Chicago but here in BK it flows like the nile

Cracked a 2016 BCBS tonight. Delicious, but KBS still blows it out of the water. I'd take regular Breakfast Stout, Sunday Morning and Beer for Breakfast over it too, probably

whaaaaaaa?! I think KBS is the worst of all the beers you just listed and is Founders 3rd or 4th best stout (Imperial Stout, CBS, Breakfast, then KBS, in my opinion). BCBS is everything I want in a massive stout.

Let me know whether it'd be worth it to get the Cascade version! I'm curious how different they are.

BCBS is the best stout I’ve had. KBS is very good, but I think I’m with Mike on it. I really enjoy all of Founder’s stouts though, I’m excited to try CBS soon

Never had CBS. Breakfast might actually be my favorite. Idk what it is about BCBS. I definitely enjoy it, just prefer the overt coffee flavors of the others a bit more

Apple Brandy Barrel Aged Gingerbread Stout is a good like wintery seasonal stout.

    Interesting. Different strokes!
My buddy had a gingerbread stout shared with him randomly at our old job but i didn't come in until hours later so I didn't get to try it.

one of the small perks of living in chicagolandia. i still haven't tracked it down, but i won't be going out of my way to. there are comparable, more readily available ba stouts in the market. looking at you, deth's tar.

I'm hoping Michigan gets a good amount of Deth's Tar now that Revolution is distributing here. Been wanting to try it.

it's one of my favorite beers. rev had a beer release party for it at the production brewery the weekend before thanksgiving. they released cans of deth's star and two variants (cafe deth [with coffee added] and deth by cherries [with cherry puree]). they also had four additional variants to try on tap (cocoa deth, vanilla deth, deth by currants, deth by plums). it ended up being one of the best beer related events i'd ever been to. all of the beers were awesome, but cafe deth and cocoa deth were my favorites of the bunch. with all that being said, definitely go out of your way to get deth's tar now that they've canned it. hopefully you won't be disappointed.

they also are releasing very special old deth (deth's tar aged in bourbon barrels for two years) and double barrel very special old deth (aged one year in bourbon barrels, one year in Woodford Reserve Double Oaked and Whistle Pig 10-year rye barrels, then blended) which i'm super stoked for.

And they're in cans this year. Which means I can drink one and not be horizontal afterwards.

I think that's still my favorite GBS variant. So sad I missed out on the online sale/lottery this year. Hoping to trade for the double barrel one coming out soon.

Two Roads "Two Juicy" is okay. NEIPA and "juicy" oversaturating the market
