Let me know if you can't get any Backwoods.

Random question but does anyone know where to find the bottles like Hill Farmstead uses? They look like wine bottles but the top has a crown instead of a cork. I"m looking to brew some beers for a wedding present and wanted use fancier bottle like that but I can't seem to find anywhere that sells them.

Is there any NE style IPAs available in Michigan? I just keep seeing pictures of Trillium and Treehouse and it's making me extremely envious.

Search for 750 ML amber champagne bottles. This is what I used to bottle my lambic it should be the same as those HF bottles can take a look when I get home.

Haven't purchased from either of these companies, so I can't vouch for them personally, but style wise, these are what you're looking for. Both of these are 26mm caps, but take note of whichever ones you end up getting, they sometimes come in 29mm versions that you would need a new capper or at the very least a new bell for your capper to use.

I've also seen good reviews for this company, but they only sell by the pallet, so likely not usefull unless you have friends/a homebrew club to split the order with.

Thanks guys! That's exactly what I'm looking for. I don't know why I didn't think to look for champagne bottles instead of just searching 750ml amber bottles.

Didn't even realize it went on sale already! Just checked the list and it's interesting to see a lot of glaring omissions // hugely popular breweries at last year's event (Tree House, Grimm, Wicked Weed). Glad to see Rare Barrel and Jackie O's on the list again, they were highlights for me last year.

Witch's Hat down in South Lyon had one at their taproom last time I was there (a few months ago). Ellison, a local spot in Lansing, just put one out that's like 85% of the way there. I can swing by there and pick up a bottle if you want. I was going to go back and get some more for myself anyways. 22 oz, btw.
    I'll keep it in mind.

Is it Relativity? It looks like it's on tap at a brewhouse that I'm going to tomorrow, so I'll definitely have to try that. If I end up liking it, I'll have to take up that offer! Thank you!

Relativity is essentially their Heady Topper, in that it's got a decent amount of bitterness to it. Heady and the Tree House/Trillium beers are, to me, very far apart in the NEIPA game. Relativity is a great beer, best regular beer available in Lansing. The one that they released is called You Can Get With That ... JUICE and is a 9% DIPA that's more in line with something like Tree House. Low bitterness, massive fruit/grassiness and it's a thick DIPA, too. But yeah, let me know what you think of Relativity. Also, Ellison is worth a travel to at some point; their hoppy beers are really on point recently.

I just looked at their page, and yeah that Juice one looks incredible. I'll have to work something out with you to grab a bottle of that. I'm so bummed I missed out on this place while I lived in Lansing.

The Prop was definitely the best of the bunch, but I enjoyed Rare quite a bit. First I've tried it. We had a Backyard too, but just never got around to it. Too much beer. My cousins are insane with the amount of stuff they get their hands on.

For sure. They keep saying "they don't have much left!" but when I went the bartender told me they had like 15 cases left of 22 oz bottles. I'm confident they have at least 10 cases left. I'll probably grab 3-4 bottles when I go back later this week.

Noooo! The Backyard Rye is my absolute favorite of all the BCBS variants. We have two bottles in our cellar that I don't know if I can ever bring myself to drink, because then they would be gone and I would be sad. LOL

Also, I just looked at our spreadsheet and we have 49 BCBS variants in our beer cellar. That is EXCESSIVE.

I've never had any version of BCBS unfortunately. Hoping to change that eventually.

    Come help us drink it!

Where do you live? The regular BCBS is generally relatively easy to come by, in the Northeast anyway.

I just had Relativity, and man, I am so pissed I don't live in Lansing anymore. That was easily one of my favorite IPAs I've had.

BCBS can be pretty easy to get in Lansing, too.
I know, right? So JUICE is a bit thicker, 9%, a fair amount sweeter and a lot of the bitterness isn't there, either. Like I said, JUICE is like 85% of the way to a NEIPA. I'll go to Ellison tomorrow and pick up some bottles.

I have a 2013 & 2014 BCBS Coffee as well that my dad got me for my birthday (thanks dad!) I've been saving them but I don't really know for what. Should I just drink them with friends or keep them forever?
