Just finished episode 6. God damn. Easily on pace to be better than season 1 which is wild.

The consensus I am seeing from people on Twitter is people seem to really hate the Carmy/Claire stuff.

I feel so bad for the actor that plays Gary. The only character that gets no development, no arc, no great scenes. He is just kind of there.

Molly Gordon rules. People will find anything to complain about.

I can see why people don’t like it. Carmy suddenly starts bailing on his responsibilities at the restaurant to hang out with her when it’s been established that literally all he cares about is running a restaurant and cooking. That said, I would throw my entire life away for Molly Gordon so I get it

I think on Twitter there's some genuine criticism of Carmy/Claire but also a subset of fans that are super weird about Carmy and Syd's platonic relationship, either "shipping" them or getting angry that Carmy is spending time with an actual love interest instead.

A surefire sign of a show being a hit - people being super weird on Twitter about it

Felt right at home watching ep 1. The New Noise needle drop never fails to hype me up. Excited for the rest of this but gonna try to keep it to one ep per day.

I wish we got to spend more time with Will Poulter's character and learn more about his past with Carmy. Hopefully he comes back and we get more into that in season 3.

    So the fourth episode...

I absolutely love that Carmy set up his same experience for Marcus. Staging with his old friend. The boat and the invisible cat in the most beautiful place he's ever seen. What a cool moment hearing Carmy talk about it in a later episode.

Richie's episode was really great too.

I'm not so sure if it's nicer than the first season. We're just seeing the supporting cast deal with more conflict than Carmy. I'm only 7 episodes in though...

Sugar bringing a kid into the world after being raised by a monster.

    Marcus and his sick mom.

Syd's dad still not believing in her. The line about her being older than her mom when she died was brutal.

Ebraheim not being able to keep up in cooking school and throwing in the towel.

Tina getting to kind of relive her life that passed her by as she was working to support her family is really nice but also tough to watch. I'm just really happy with her storyline through the first 7 episodes.

Just finished. I’d probably say this is better than season 1 but season one was just such a surprise so it’s tough. I liked the Carmy/Claire stuff.

It took me rewatching episode 6 to understand the significance of the special dessert Richie makes Cicero in the finale.

the biggest goosebumps moment for me this season was definitely the "every second counts" moment at the endof episode 7. It hit me like a ton of bricks and was beautiful.

As much as I loved episode 6 for it's directing and for being an incredible guest actor showpiece, I honestly think episode 7 might be my favorite of the season just in terms of pure emotional investment.

I would not be shocked at this point if Alison Brie or Donald Glover end up in season 3.
