I would enjoy CGI white eyes kind of like Deadpool for shadow/stalking/interrogation scenes.

Pete Holmes has the experience with the character as well. Just give him the roll.

Not even trolling but I would watch a Batman movie with Fassbender as Bruce as long as he beefed up a bit.

Fassbender is also too old for what this movie is going for.

Christian Bale was literally exactly 31 years old when Batman Begins came out. Think that age range, give or take a year or two.

WB’s only hope is that they can make another Batman trilogy work. Everything else has been a dumpster fire, minus Wonder Woman.

but Aquaman just became their highest grossing movie and most people really liked it. I say lets see how Shazam does before we write off anything but Batman.

I certainly wouldn't call Aquaman a dumpster fire.

Aquaman? The majority of people I know who like DC also enjoyed Man of Steel.

The majority of people I know just like Man of Steel, even the non comic fans. I only see hate for it online ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  17. Haven't seen it, but that sure ain't a "dumpster fire" return or come close to meaning WB's "only hope" is anything Batman related.

Replay value/quality of product is my gripe with DC. Just seems like they can’t decide if this is going to be a shared universe or not. We have a new Batman, standalone Joker, sequel to Wonder Woman, rebooted Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn spinoff. It comes off as they’re just throwing everything and anything against the wall to see what sticks. Batman seems to be their best bet, all i’m saying.

  19. But it's quantifiably not true?

  20. Aquaman made a ton more money that the 3 other DCEU movies that have Batman in them:chin:

I haven't seen Aquaman yet, but like...

The film made over a billion dollars. It's (technically) DC's highest grossing film ever (obvious caveat for inflation) & one of the highest grossing films of 2018. And, it got okay reviews & was generally well received by fans of the comics. I've seen a lot of criticism of the film's length and some other details, but overall, it was undeniably a success for DC.

And, Shazam looks really good. Birds of Prey is super promising. Etc.

I've been frustrated with the direction of DC for a while, but the current direction of things makes me really happy.

The botched the JL and it's lead up so bad, whether you liked it or not (I did), so I think these one offs and random movies are a good idea. Let the JL rest a bit before trying again and give the B roaster a chance :-)

I'm very excited to see what Matt Reeves has in store, but I have to say I am sad to see Ben Affleck go both as director and as Batman.

Ben Affleck (co)writing & directing & starring in a Batman film is like a perfect case scenario for me for DC to be 'director driven'.

I'm not thrilled about them going younger with Batman as I kinda loved the little bit grizzled age he was in the last few, but there are certainly a lot of good young actors out there.

More studios should release big-budget blockbusters during the holidays. It tends to be a good time for those kinds of movies, box office-wise.

I hope to get more details leaked from what Ben's Batman would have been in the future.
