"Lay Me Down" is the first track I think of when I think about that album. That one line "I don't want to die, I just don't want to be alive" is such a simple turn of phrase but it cuts deep. Also, that final bit of the song gets real dark if I'm following the lyrics correctly...

I'm glad @Penlab pointed me here!

Munroe are having their first shows since 2011 and I'm going!

First 2-3 albums were my favorites, kinda lost them on the last 2 albums. It's not the same band for me (not complaining or anything, it is what it is), I liked it better when it was dark and brooding lol

Edit: My favorite songs were probably Son Of Sam, Begin Again, I Dare You, Fake, Shed Some Light, In Memory, Stranger Inside.

Just got tickets to the Seether/Skillet tour that starts soon, I have no idea how well it would draw on a Tuesday but we will see.

I actually think their last album reclaimed some of that sound, at least on a few songs.

First 3 albums and Attention Attention I enjoyed but I hope next record they go back to their heavier roots or at least ditch the concept record route

Agreed on the last record on some of the songs but yeah hope the album will be back to their roots *fingers crossed*

I don't think they'll ever go back to completely heavy, crossover is still important.

I know it's a bit heavier but for me that was not the thing, it just feels different, the stuff they sing about, the fact it sound more towards something to play in an arena and not something that you see in a dusty bar. Again, it's just my weird preferences, nothing against the band.

BTW....anyone remember this song/this band? Came up randomly the other week and I must have listened to it like 5 times in a row.

Loved this album. Saw them with Seether and Crossfade way back when. Was bummed they broke up.

Fun fact: the lead singer Ben Lauren was a teacher and went back to teaching after the band ended.

The mix is awful, it sounds like it was recorded live in a garage somewhere

Agreed, I saw them live once supporting Three Days Grace in Birmingham in the UK and they put on a damn good show

This came out today. I'm seeing them tomorrow with Breaking Benjamin, Staind (yes, i know Aaron is a jackass) and Daughtry. I know many rock singers in the past few years went for the Country route and that artists like Jelly Roll and Hardy are everywhere know but this feels a bit different with the way it mixes rock and country. Their song with Gideon is pretty good.

Man, his new stuff is so good. He just played a new song called "The Dam", it's probably the heaviest thing he ever did by now.

Also, I wore my red Buccee's hat and I just realized that I am wearing a red hat in a Staind concert lol
