Personally, I want to take photos of life. I want to capture moments in time, frozen images that never grow old. Beyond that, I want to do portraits and things like that.

Bands I am casually interested in seeing: Blink 182, Slayer, Bikini Kill, Rancid, Violent Femmes, B-52s, Dashboard Confessional, Pennywise, The Starting Line, Anthrax, Lucero, Senses Fail, Less Than Jake, GWAR, Anti-Flag, Surfer Blood, Teenage Bottlerocket, Microwave

So that’s:
-5 bands I LOVE
-17 bands I dont LOVE but would enjoy live
-19 bands I would see at a festival just because of familiarity / kinda liking them at some point

Hell of a lineup. If I had my way and could schedule this festival myself I’d watch all 41 bands.

Really wanna save up for that one. This is the first festival I’ve seen that had a lineup I liked as much as Bumbershoot 2013 in Seattle (which I attended) and the 2009 ATP festival in NYC curated by the Flaming Lips (still kicking myself for missing them, Sufjan Stevens, Grizzly Bear, Atlas Sound, Deerhunter, and Caribou in the same venue)

Riot Fest is heavy on pop-punk / punk-influenced indie, so more nostalgia than stuff that I actually still love now... but still.

 

Since ATP 2009, I have seen The Flaming Lips, Grizzly Bear, and a ballet composed and choreographed by Sufjan Stevens so I soooorta made up for missing it
