I think it's kinda crazy to let the number of facebook likes wreck your self esteem. When you really think about it, that just says something about how big of a motivator envy can be. Cause you're using other people as a frame of reference.

When I post stuff about my band that doesn't get likes, I literally treat it like a game / puzzle to figure out how to beat the algorithm. I'd be depressed as fuck if I let it get to me that sometimes I post about a show and that post bombs. I'm just like, okay, time to try a different approach tomorrow lol.

In terms of my personal Facebook, I'm always satisfied with the number of likes I get I guess? The less close of a friend we are the less I care whether you like my shit or not, so it's never been a popularity contest for me.

I kinda like CRJ being a cult classic and it's dope as hell that a young POC was able to get Taylor Swift to not have a #1 single for the first time in a decade but also always CRJ owns

 

The algorithm for pages is sooooooo broken by design, they want you to pay for everything for it to be shown to anyone, even those who already like your page
