Now that I've been to Sun Ray Cinema, a local urban theatre that has recliner seats, tables, space for your legs and a full kitchen menu / beer & wine list... and found out that places like that cost less than $10 for tickets... I will never overspend for an AMC theatre again

Maybe once in awhile for Imax but that's like a once a year thing to me. I also don't really like the majority of popular blockbuster movies, so a place that primarily shows indie films is fine by me.

 

You don't go to movies either lol, albeit for totally different reasons

The movie theatre generally plays movies I've never heard of. "Detective Pikachu" in fact is niche enough that it makes sense that would be a popular movie they played. They also play superhero movies cause their audience is fuckin '90s nerds lol
