Wish they would move it back into February.

 

Its crazy to me how irrelevant the Oscar's have become so fast. This used to be one of the biggest tv nights of the year and the cornerstone of the film year... I'm not saying it's necessarily dead, but the prestige is gone.

 

Doesn't help that the broadcast is about how "no one has seen any of these movies" Fuck off and celebrate the artists that worked their asses off to make these movies or just shut it all down for good

 

Yea it’s annoying. I wish they would just fully commit to nominating and awarding the actual best movies and not shoehorning in a bunch of stuff that kinda sucks so people watch. The people who are gonna watch are gonna watch anyway.
