Besides a couple of songs, Crossey mixes their records still, not George.

Either way I’m fond of the way their records sound.

George does produce their tracks so it’s not too far off from your initial thought. They’re certainly dense recordings (part of what I love about them) and so I think I understand your overcrowded comment. One of those subjective things.

  4. I still don't understand why No Rome is on this. He almost feels like an afterthought.

It's his song... What do you mean lol

  6. I thought it was pretty clear? He has like a verse and a half as far as lead vocals go. To me it sounds like he was added after most of the song was already complete. Would have been just as good with Matty doing his parts or just Charli on the whole thing.

He produced the song with George, it's his song, he's the lead artist. There could have been zero vocals from him and it would still be his song, he's not "on it," he made a song with Charli and the 1975. It feels like a No Rome song to me, no question

Too time is also a No Rome song. Don’t think he’s “on there”

I actually didn't know that! Any other 1975 songs he's been invovled in? I know his song featuring the 1975 but didn't know it went both ways

  12. Mostly background vocals from what I can tell.

I tend to like their mixes, they reward repeat listens.

  13. My point was that his vocal contribution adds nothing to the song. I love No Rome.

I like how The 1975’s “TOOTIME,” Charli’s “Warm,” and now Rome’s “Spinning” all kind of feel like they play off each other and live in the same universe. It’s like they all vibe in the colors of an idyllic spring/summer day and there’s not a care in the world. Like you’re on vacation, driving, taking the scenic route... I just love it.

Can't stop listening to Spinning. Major TOOTIME vibes for sure.

I was just listening to ILIWYS, does anyone know what Matty sings over the outro of Paris? It’s one of my all time favorite songs but I’ve never been able to make out those lines and it’s not on any lyrics site I can find

I'm probably really late to this but just stumbled across this video and it is so good. His small idea about video game consoles starting up is so cool.

oh man, following up from the earlier conversation of "like 1975" bands and songs, I just heard this song which is a pretty crazy ripoff of UGH!

I'm sure some of you have heard it before since I've seen the band name around here, but wow

didn’t think of ugh when I heard it tbh but I guess the comp works. Album is so good though, def give it a shot

Wow I’m surprised you think it’s bad given the other stuff you seem to like.

  25. Yup, musically it’s very “Ugh” and melodically it’s very “She Drives Me Crazy.”
