Wowwww. What a song. Finally hearing the studio version is a relief and they killed it. The intro, production (especially on those second verse vocals), saxophone, and song structure are all great. Really awesome single and it was well worth the wait.

Will be interested to see if there's a shorter version sent out to radio.

for me it is better than "it's not living"

i know that that sounds impossible but this band did it

It’s a good song, first impression makes me feel like it’s a lesser version of the poppier tracks on the last one. It’ll grow on me. Me&You is far and away my favorite from this cycle

  11. definitely a bop

Probably their best sax solo, especially the runs in the second half of it

The difference between the video mix and the studio mix is very interesting to me because it showcases how solid of a song it REALLY is/holds up in a more live setting. I think it’s very cool of them do have done that too!

    Sax is always god lol

  19. My favorite part of every 1975 rollout is when they finally release the massive 80’s pop banger, and no matter how varying the opinions are on all the other pre-release tracks, everyone in the thread comes together to rejoice in the bop

It’s a smart move for radio. I’ll always prefer the album version, but I know enough people that will listen to the shorter one.

Song’s fuckin’ dope, though I’m not having *quite* the same immediate “it’s the best thing they’ve ever done” feeling as a lot of this thread. But, still, obviously, it’s top tier & dope.
