I'd honestly been looking at the same thing and I was just kinda dumbfounded at the fact that, indeed, nothing happened. It is getting to be kind of a slog waiting around for this band to tease again for the third time.

I don’t think anyone is complaining about not having new music yet. We’re talking about the way the band/management consistently fails to deliver on the timelines they publicly promote.

my only complaint is how unbelievably long and drawn out their promotions are. I hate announcements of forthcoming announcements and countdowns and cryptic social media shit. All bands do this now and it's pretty annoying. Just put something out. I'm at the point where it's more exciting when a band just releases a single or announce an album without any buildup or warning

Except we aren’t complaining about the new album at all. If the band’s manager makes yet another post that quite clearly alludes to something happening, then as usual delivers nothing, it’s irritating. It might not irritate you, but it’s shitty to the fans, a lot of which continually complain about him pulling stunts like that and have done for years.

At the end of the day, the ‘Notes cycle’ has been going on ever since they started recording demos for it, which was long before Jamie made that tweet. As I said before - take all year to do it...I don’t care. Just stop trying to work up fans and get them excited over non-events. If his tweet literally says nothing, why even post it when he knows it would get people excited over nothing?

 

Nothing was promised. It's not Jamie's fault you read too deep into a tweet he made. They don't owe it to anyone to "deliver" on something they never even said was happening.

Dictating on what someone can tweet about a band is ridiculous, again, it's not his fault people read way too deep into something he just tosses out there.

 

Paha okay. The guy has a history of doing this and acknowledged it several times. He knows what he’s doing. The band has been working on it for a while now, and have made that very public - that post serves no purpose but to work up fans.

Nobody said they owe anybody anything, nor am I dictating. That seems to be a buzzword with you lately - sorry you disagree. In my opinion, it’s messing with younger fans. Look at all the retweets and comments on his numerous posts like this. Evidently it’s winding folk up, and he’s not ignorant to that.
