Eh, I guess I'm fairly unique. I just don't really care about EPs. I'm fine waiting for an album.

In fact, I enjoy The 1975's EPs enough but I think I'd like the songs more if they were on an album, i struggle to get into releases that are so "short form" like that.

 

I thought the EPs were better than the first album and 4 of my top 5 by this band are from those EPs. Plus the more music the better imo.

 

I must have listened to that Pale Waves track a good 10 times today so far

 

If people haven't heard the original Sade song yet, check it

 

I could see the whole "EP's being pointless" argument if all of the EP songs then made it onto the record. But if it just means more music that wouldn't fit in the context of a full album, I'm all for it. The EP/non-album tracks are some of my favorites from this band, but without a doubt a lot of them wouldn't fit on the full lengths

 

Brian Eno helping produce a 1975 album - would that be a good idea?

Having singles from their first album on their first EPs didn't ruin anything, and it gave us a bunch of "side tracks" that are among the best in the band's discography.

Soooooo....

 

Where did you all get the idea that I think EPs are pointless or ruin anything? I explained why Im personally not a fan of them and that's it.

I'm not huge on any of the non-album EP tracks, but that might be partially because I hadn't heard the EPs until after both albums.

 

They take my fucking breath away

 

Fallingforyou 7" was one of the best purchases I ever made

 

Cover is out in Australia, it sounds beautiful. They did a great job with adding their own flair.

Just check the 1975 subreddit any time you need to listen to something, it's always posted there like right away (I also run the subreddit :P)

 

so this "new song" is just a cover? I was hoping for something new.
