I got tickets for the austin date yesterday. A bit of a hike from dallas so my bf and i would need to take off work and he kept telling me it wasnt possible and he had to work. Then he gave them to me yesterday as a surprisr and i lost my shit. So jazzed about it.

    Things have changed.

This is a great point I hadn't thought of before.

Tbh, it didn't really "click" with me until my last listen a couple days ago. I think there's a lot to really analyze here, although I just kinda tend to over analyze the music I love. It's been a long time since I've found an album that offers so much to dig into haha.

  4. this song just wrecks me. it's so utterly raw and sincere and sweet. I agree that it works as a polar opposite to Love Me--all the bombast and weirdness replaced with simplicity and quiet earnestness

Can't wait to experience songs off of this album live. It is INSANE to me that they'll be playing Barclays Center. They played a 1.5k cap venue on Long Island, a year and a half prior.

UGH! was my immediate favorite but the whole album is a gem.

You'll have to comment on the venue afterwards. That amphitheater looks absolutely ridonculous, couldn't believe that's the type of venue they're booking.

I, of course, will be in the middle of finals while they hit Austin/Houston.....Perfect timing.

I've noticed the way in which the last two songs act as a foil to the first few (and the majority of the album), but I've never considered She Lays Down as an answer or a response to Love Me. I think thats a very interesting perspective, and it actually makes me enjoy both songs more.

Controversial opinion: I skip Somebody Else pretty much every time now.

It doesn't grate on me, but I skip The Sound pretty much all the time now. It's such a jam but I guess I'm just burnt out on it.

A Change of Heart, This Must Be My Dream, Somebody Else, Love Me and She's American are the tracks I go back to the most. This album is pretty perfect though

Now that I've had some more time with this, my favorite tracks are UGH!, She's American, The Ballad of Me and My Brain, title track, and This Must Be My Dream. Coming up with that top five was actually surprisingly easy, though I guess Lostmyhead would also be close to cracking that list.

I listened to this front to back twice in a row last night while driving back from London in the rain and it was magnificent. Every single song and mood fit perfectly. Special album.

I've been really into UGH! lately. Matty's vocal delivery on that track is really great. So infectious.

I think I've settled on Somebody Else, Lostmyhead, If I Believe You, Nana, and Paris as my favorites now. Gotta give an honorable mention to Please Be Naked though.

Somebody Else is probably one of my favorite songs of all time at this point so that is basically blasphemy @FTank haha. Different strokes, though.

I really really can't wait to go on a long drive with this album. I might do that sometime this week, actually.

My favorite is still If I Believe You, that song hits way too hard considering my struggles with religion. Honorable mentions are Paris, Me and my Brain, UGH, and the title track. This really is a special record
