"Paris" into "Nana" is an incredible one-two-punch of emotion

That would be an interesting QOTD thread: Give me the best 3 song stretches you can think of.

wouldn't quite put it on that level but yeah it's great.

    all we have is time

I think it would be a terrible decision to cut tracks in the first place... but THOSE tracks??

  13. Let's be niiiiceeeee. We can talk about why we wouldn't cut tracks and such ('cause damn those three are so good), and not be too hostile.

I did just say a few days ago that I wouldn't cut anything, but if I had to... A Change of Heart might be the one. It still works well in the sequencing though and I don't skip it even though it's one of the weaker tracks IMO.

Change of Heart made it's way into my top 5 today. I love it so much.

The lyrics in that song are so good.

lyrics on every song are so good haha ive been saying it for two weeks now but seriously the one liners are amazing and there's a lot of deep storytelling going on when you take songs as a whole as well. i like when bands do that, when you can pull out single little lines but still see the bigger picture when the song is taken as a whole. jesse lacey and geoff rickly do this as well, two of the first songwriters whose lyrics i really analyzed and picked apart. for that very reason.

Haha, that's true. One of my favourite albums lyrically in a long time.

I've listened to each of their EPs for the first time in the last few days, and those have some good tracks but really none of that material touches most of what's on this record IMO. It's really clear this is what they've been trying to make for a while. What an album.

"A Change of Heart" is so wonderful. Surprised that's a weak link for some people. I like it more than most of the songs in the first part of the record.

  24. "A Change of Heart" is definitely my favorite of the "singles" section or whatever the first part would be called.

Definitely. Something about the vibe I really enjoy. The lyrical callbacks are fun too.
