Unfortunately, it seems that this is another album with a mediocre Dolby Atmos mix. I need to just give up on Atmos.

 

About to give this my first listen!

WWAT is my favorite 1975 closer yet, and I don't even think it's close.

 

I am now on my 3rd time since midnight listening to this album.

I can't get over how wonderful this album is start to finish. No skips. Just the way I like it.

both of these songs are fucking masterpieces!

 

Am I the only one that gets slight "Robbers" vibes from "About You" ?

Also gives off major "Clean" by Taylor Swift vibes.

 

I didn't finish the album last night so I'm just getting to About You now...and fuck.

 

it reminds me a ton of "Robbers" but also EP tracks like "You" and "Me" even a bit

obv the U2 "with or without you" influence abundantly apparent as well w some morrissey type crooning vocals

OMG yessss!!!! I didn't even pick up on the U2 vibes but now I can hear it.

its like a bunch of different songs rolled into one little song and I love it

 

funny everyone keeps saying "wintering" sounds like bleachers when it's one of the non-jack produced tracks lol

i can hear it but to me it's more a continuation of the limbeck channeling they were doing on "roadkill"

 

when we are together hits more on second listen. it's no i always wanna die or she lays down but it is very good

 

you could say it's like "me" and "you"... together....

 

watching the zane lowe interview really helped me approach that song / appreciate it deeper w the context of them all living in the english countryside now and that being equally part of their identities

obv a beautiful song lyrically beyond that as well

sonically reminds me of what i always wanted them to do after hearing the full band "be my mistake"

 

a lot of times when people compare other bands to bleachers I feel as though I've never heard that band even though they have two records I love to pieces

 

I can't tell you how glad I am that I watched that interview before this album dropped

 

on the apple music track by track (def worth a read) matty talks about "about you" being arranged by warren ellis (wow lol) and reminding him a lot of "inside your mind" which i def hear

 

This album is really good, I love it
