Ok I’m def buying a ticket to Boston and going alone, this song has led to this band being all I listen to again

 

Seems like a lot of this came out of sessions from the DLID stuff, especially the idea of them playing together in a room rather than having separate recording processes. And Wintering and some of the others seem more like older stuff. We’ll see when it’s released, but it’s heading more towards the feel of their older stuff than ABI/Notes

The began talking about a DLID full-length in 2017, after the ILIWYS era began winding down. In that time, they've released two records and now recorded a third. It's interesting to hear that they've at least began writing it, but wild they haven't completed it.

Will they? Seems less likely the further the 1975 sound progresses, doesn't it?

 

If I had to choose between getting a one-off DLID album of re-recorded stuff and one new 1975 album, I'd choose the DLID album.

 

Milwaukee is absurdly expensive consider it’s also a radio holiday show. Can’t say that I’m all that enthused about buying tickets now…

But that gives me confidence they’ll be playing a Chicago radio show at the Aragon. I’d rather do that instead of spending the gas money.
