  9. Weezer has at least three albums better than any 1975 album but some people aren't ready for that conversation

The only good weezer albums are the first 2. That’s it. End of conversation.

Blue and Pinkerton I could probably agree with, but I Like It When You Sleep is better than Maladroit, Green, and White

I love some Weezer albums but I'd still take every 1975 album over any of them.

Weezer could have made lostmyhead but The 1975 couldn't make The Greatest Man

A 1975 album is kind of like a long version of The Greatest Man tbh

1975 could have write most of the Blue album if they wanted to.

Weezer could do the instrumental tracks.

Rivers could never write some of Matty's lyrics (1975, Be my Mistake, Part of the Band etc.)

A comparison/argument between The 1975 and Weezer wasn't on my 2022 bingo card

I read that the 1975 used to be a Weezer tribute band before getting signed

"The era of vulnerability at the centre of his art and life. The era of no longer being a spokesperson of a generation. The era of being offline and of being, in general. The era of having fallen in love, for real, and writing a markedly sincere love album. The era of wondering, in love’s aftermath, if true love exists at all, but hoping that it does."

“I’m sure there are people that haven’t finished Notes,” Healy admits

Can true love exist anymore? The 1975’s Matty Healy isn’t sure - Rolling Stone UK

used to like weezer’s first two records and not much else, and now I don’t even really like those. musically there are moments I can get behind, and there are some songs I still dig enough, but Rivers presence is so fucking insufferable to me on every level even their best shit is hard for me to bear anymore at all. incredibly overrated songwriter imo.

"To deepen the approach, Jack Antonoff joined at a later date to co-produce the record with Healy and Daniel. “We had a series of conversations, and one of the things was about ‘macho versus tough’ where we wanted to make something that wasn’t macho, but that felt quite tough and grown up and real,” Healy says of working with Antonoff.
