I received confirmation, so glad this fits on 1LP. 44 minutes is near perfect LP length

I mean he was a part of Melodrama and Norman Fucking Rockwell, two of the best albums of the 2010s, sooo I would not say he’s ruined everything he has been a part of. Plus his work with Taylor is way more hit than miss IMHO.

I do agree with you about him working with Clairo though

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't know he was involved with Melodrama, and I actually liked that album. I think I respect him slightly more. (Also, his work with Bleachers is fine.)

    idk man

I'm really digging the instrumental vibes but I can't get behind some of these lyrics and the vocal delivery. It might be something I warm up to but right now it just isn't clicking with me.

Instantly like this song more than the vast majority on the last album. Very Bon Iver sounding though

If ya’ll want Bon Iver sounding, listen to Novo Amor (also great).

Holding off on all singles till release day, but i’m nervous about everyone saying it’s way better than notes, cause notes has some all time best songs on it.

Someone earlier said this was better than anything on Notes, and that was wrong, but this is still really good.

  9. Calling this better than anything on Notes after it's been out for like half a day is truly insane behavior lol

This is a really terrible take, but it also sounds like you don't really know much of his stuff. I don't like the last Clairo album either, and I get why people aren't into Solar Power... but he produced the entirety of Melodrama as mentioned, the amazing The Chicks album, Kevin Abstract... Red Hearse, some of Carly's best singles

...and if you don't like the Jack songs from Taylor's latest albums (August? Ivy??? Cruel Summer, Lover, The Archer, Cornelia Street, Death By A Thousand Cuts... False God).... then you might just not like music at this point haha

I like Jack as a producer much more than I like him as an artist, minus that run of Fun. and self-titled Steel Train.

Cruel Summer slaps, and I actually like most of those Taylor songs, and I never knew he was involved with Carly, but I like most of her singles too. That second Clairo album definitely radicalized me into a hater though, and his musical fingerprints have driven me up the wall ever since.

I mean.... I don't like that Clairo album, and it's one of the few Jack things I don't like, so I have no reason to think he's the reason it sucks.... seems to me that I don't like the Clairo album that Clairo made

You're probably right, it was just so different than that first Clairo album, which I loved, that it severely colored my perception of him, who most people were attributing the album's shift in tone to, which is probably unfair.

I getcha, well anyway, maybe you're now inspired to check out more of his back catalog, or not, whatever!

The worst sounding thing Jack ever did was the last Bleachers album
