i mean it is a very clearly deliberate, and clever callback tho, i love america and america loves me is also about the youth's relationship with guns which is very much what looking for somebody to love is about as well

 

The descending part at the end of All I Need To Hear also has a very similar instrumental gesture to the end of Cancer, I love it

 

That one gets me every time. My relationship with my grandmother was my strongest so losing her five years ago still hurts…

I generally skip Nana now. I can’t listen to it. Especially as that was what we called her.

This is a big moment for me, feels like it's gonna go down the same as the other refrains for just a second and then switches. Truly a masterfully written song.

 

The production on Looking For Somebody to Love is bizarre, it sounds like when you have your earbuds in the wrong ears. But that song is a fucking jam. Probably my favorite song on the record

Decided I’m gonna revisit their entire discography starting today with this album and working my way backwards all the way to the Facedown EP. Really excited about it, even though I’ve listened to all of their releases so much

Totally agree. Love this band, but can't stand interviews with Matty. He is a stupid person's idea of a smart person.

I must be an idiot because I find his interviews hilarious and honest. Must be the Welsh in my blood, lol.

 

i've interviewed matty, imo he's smart and just sometimes talks a lot of shit on his way to a point. he's really great in this podcast btw

 

i don't think i've ever heard george and matty's dynamic in conversation before, they're like brothers lol

 

Don't think I've ever heard Adam or Ross in an interview before, haha

 

Do they usually put out the full video version of the podcast? Would rather watch it if possible.
