Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I'm predicting a single at midnight on May 4. Seems like they could be releasing new info every two days.

4/28 - Posters go up around England
4/30 - "Brief Inquiry" image and socials deleted
    5/2 - Countdown
    5/4 - Single?

Self Titled is for sure their best record.

I've said it before but I think ILIWYS is significantly better than the self titled in every way.

I can’t really get behind that but they’re honestly close to being tied for me at this point. They both accomplish slightly different things and embody different aspects of their sound and do so incredibly well.

Yeah I know it's not the majority opinion but I actually do still enjoy the self-titled more than ILIWYS. Dunno if that's just bias from it being the first thing I ever heard from them/fell in love with or not but that's just how it is for me. But it's not like there's a wide margin between them, I love them both a ton.

I like the EP's more than the first album too. I still think that album is great though, they're a consistently excellent band I just think they're getting better with time.

The EPs as an "album" of sorts are still my favorite music from the band, and MFC might be my favorite of those, but ILIWYS showed an incredible progression of their songwriting abilities. Extremely psyched that it sounds like that progression will now be applied to the vibe of the MFC EP.

I’m really hoping for some upbeat stuff on the new one because I can’t handle anymore crying in my car.

i do think ILIWYS is a pretty big leap above the S/T. i really like that the first 5 tracks are just a victory lap for the S/T era, like "hey heres some songs that sound like songs from our first record but even better" and then 6-12 is them pushing out into all sorts of genres and incorporating all sorts of new wrinkles and textures. Then the last 5 tracks come in and are just the best tracks theyve ever written to close out strong.

    fuck i love this band

I honestly can’t pick a favorite between the first two albums. They’re wonderful in completely different ways.

When Sister Cities came out, Soupy put like some handwritten notes online that were VERY pompous and one of the ways he described the album was like "This is 40 minutes of rain beating down on a car" or something to that effect.
